About Edale House B&B in the Forest of Dean
Welcome to Edale House B&B in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Owners Peter and Jane invite you to unwind, make yourself at home and enjoy the delights of this beautiful area.
Built in 1854, Edale House is an elegant Georgian style building, facing the village green in the charming village of Parkend. Once the home of Bill Tandy, author of “A Doctor in the Forest”, the house has been tastefully restored to provide a comfortable haven in an area of outstanding natural beauty and history.
Edale House B&B is ideally located for a Forest of Dean holiday; we are adjacent to the RSPB Nagshead nature reserve, close to a huge array of attractions and easily accessible to the many miles of walking and cycle paths within the Forest. In fact there is a path right at the back of our garden so you don’t even need to get in the car! Please see our Local Area page to find out more about what you can see and do nearby in the stunning area in which our bed and breakfast is located.
Our rooms are furnished to a high standard, with Smart TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and wireless internet access in every room. We have six bedrooms (five ensuite and one with a private shower room) two of which are dog friendly, a large guest lounge, breakfast room, gardens (by arrangement) and forecourt parking. We are also licensed and provide our guests with a well stocked bar with a range of hot and cold drinks at very reasonable prices.
Our breakfasts are always well received and we like to offer our guests a full range of options including a delicious home cooked traditional English breakfast with local sausages and hand cut local bacon (or a vegetarian or vegan breakfast), toast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, juices and tea and coffee. We also provide all guests with fresh tea, coffee and cake upon arrival.
At Edale House B&B in the Forest of Dean we cater for groups, including those on cycling or walking holidays, corporate breaks and family celebrations. We also have secure storage and wash facilities for bicycles.
Peter and Jane, not to forget Bertie our black Labrador, look forward to meeting you.
